Bleed Edge clipped, to next page.

Really appreciate all the input. Thank you all. As I had mentioned most of the time this issue is with supplied files from clients. (Our internal issues, we can deal with those.) I was hoping someone could give a clearer explanation, that perhaps I could advise clients on. Right now I have no...

Bleed Edge clipped, to next page.

TBH I've never tried printing it that way. Because.. I first prepare a PDF proof for the client. And it would look really odd to send that out. So I correct the visual appearance to send out. At which point, if approved I just step up the cleaned and approved file for printing. Very seldom...

Bleed Edge clipped, to next page.

Direct to PDF I'm told, results in files often 10 times bigger. Hence this process. People do what they're used to/comfortable with. We are going to go over this process and see what other options we have. Bigger files .. (gigs sometimes?) are a pain to deal with. Every action requiring...

I appreciate the input. Thanks for your help. FYI.. We don't convert all files to PS. Just those that graphics dept needs to make PDFs from InDesign.

(Flash reading.. Yep. ) My Graphics guy on a Mac. Unable to print to a "PDF Printer" uses Post Script method. I wonder if it's a Mac thing.

I don't think that's going to help.. (I can't share the file anyway) This problem happens a lot. I'm sure many people have seen this. I just pulled a couple pages to show what I'm seeing in this particular supplied file. And I have no idea what others are doing to the files they send me. Yet I...

Bleed Edge clipped, to next page.

I'm quite certain this - at least in my content - is not an overlap issue. The pages content is always inside of the page dimensions. It only seems to happen when an image bleeds beyond the crop mark, ON BOTH SIDES.. still well inside the page edge. And only on one side. The side changes...

Bleed Edge clipped, to next page.

I didn't really know what to call this. The issue when you have an image in a PDF that bleeds. But then one edge of the image is clipped off at the crop mark (vertically), and shows up on the next page. Is this an InDesign issue? I see it all the time with submitted files. We have the same...

More wavy paper problems to solve

"...Perhaps I'm too critical in trying to achieve the impossible,..." That's a high humidity level, for paper. You may just have to get used to it. I bet you'll find, you'll have very few, if any complaints about the "waviness" judging by the pic you sent. Moisture resistant or water proof...

Well.. I'm in USA, Chicago area.. Illinois.. Your 4pm is my 10am. Send me the files, I'll print them for you, ship UPS/DHL whatever, back to you for your next day. (Or couple/3 days.) Beats 2 weeks. Canon IX 3200. Canon ImagePress V1350. Just a thought.

    Acrobat SO SLOW...

I don't know anyone who uses/used Cortana. Now defunct anyway. I don't even have a microphone on my PC. ☺

Thank you Pressdork.. I found it.. I was searching all through settings, and every place I could think of. Would NEVER have thought to look at the "view" menu. (Windows.. It was right there also)

No Mac's. Windows. Macs are horrible for anything not graphics related, imho.

Need to purchase a scanner - seeking recommendation

Glad you worked it out. When I need to scan a bound book, I cut the spine off, then just scan the flat pages through a automatic feed scanner. Canon DR-7550C scans both sides at once at an impressive speed. Colors are not always great, but good enough for 99% of my needs. Just saying.

I mean the subscription version, with the blocky icons designed by 4 year olds. How does one go about restoring the adult version, pray tell..

Machine Identification Code ruining my prints.

So we mostly Foil 1st, then over print around the foil. Knock out the foiled portions. Toner will cover the spots. Assuming full coverage.

Machine Identification Code ruining my prints.

We had tried 100%k a few different ways. But still had the spots. Till some tech mentioned the option in the file properties, within the Fiery print queue. Only then did it work, without spots.

Machine Identification Code ruining my prints.

It's intended to prevent people from printing money! That is the whole reason. With so many new color printers out there, with great quality, anyone could just print whatever cash they want. But with this code embedded, the individual printer machine can be traced, to the owner. So if machine...
