    Glass like laminate?

Possibly, any samples I've seen of epoxy would lead me to think it would be too thick. As mentioned this card is actually thinner than my 400gsm with 40mic gloss lam. I am wondering maybe some sort of uv coating but I don't think it could give this level of protection and strength

    Glass like laminate?

I don't think so as its a double sided card, I could see how it might work for single sided.

    Glass like laminate?

I'll look into that polypro. The more I examine the sample it's a much harder feel to it. With standard gloss lam I would call "soft" you could scratch or indent it pretty easily where as this is an almost hard shell like a hardened plastic. I have to give back to the sample so I can't destroy...

    Glass like laminate?

Hi all, We do memorial/wallet cards with usual spec, generally printed on our versant80 on 350/400gsm silk and gloss laminated (pouch and roll), round corners. I just got a sample card in from a client and the gloss finish on it is like glass smooth, zero imperfections, I feels like plastic...

Need Assistance Picking a New Press

Would the c7500 not be a model up from the V280 and v800? Surely that should be the c5310? We're in the market this year to replace our v80. I'm really hoping there's new models arriving during the summer trade shows. The v280, KM c4070 and c5310 are all three years old and previous generations...

    Are J75's still worth buying?

That's the 2nd btr marking them. I've found lately I'm getting through alot of them than before but I have been running alot more coated stock. Thankfully xerox have no problem with me ordering a few at a time.

Digital Printer for an art school

You obviously have some specific images you'd be printing so I'd suggest putting together a portfolio of these and the stock you'd like to use and send to each for sample prints. Otherwise you'll probably just be shown generic commercial material. I'd also be overestimating your possible volume...

Single Color Counter Feature on C14000

Depends on what contract you have with your supplier. You either have a colour and black click charge or colour, single colour and black. Not something anyone here can confirm.

    Rough Q1 for Xerox!

https://www.printweek.com/content/news/xerox-to-end-igen-and-nuvera-production "In its Q1 results just announced, Xerox noted a $36m (£28.8m) inventory impact related to “the exit of certain Production Print manufacturing operations”.

Konica Minolta and FujiFilm exploring a "strategic alliance"

Which would be interesting considering km announced offloading 2.5k jobs last week with probably more to come.

Konica Minolta and FujiFilm exploring a "strategic alliance"

That seems very weird. So are Fuji just giving up on their own tech at a time when they're trying to go on their own without Xerox? Doesn't exactly show a confident future when trying to convince Xerox clients to buy Fuji or Sharp in new markets. I wonder is it the beginnings of some sort of...

What printer for volume 10x15 printing?

That was my first thought too. Toner production press and photo just never sit well with me. Having looked at the apeos pro website the whole page is themachine printing photos and specs do seem to indicate it's got unique features that may be photo print directed. Will be interesting to see if...

Xerox Versant 180 wrinkles in paper

I've had this once or twice on our V80, I think they did the pressure roller first but I have in my head it was a complete new fuser that solved it. From the first image you can see the toner hasn't fused in the crease so it is happening prior/in the fuser.

    Xerox 2nd BTR

I understand all machines have some fault or another but I would expect a manufacturer to work to resolve such an obvious one. The fact this problem has been around so long through three generations of machine is what annoys me so much. Obviously shows they've made no attempt to fix.

    Xerox 2nd BTR

We always keep a spare on site. In Ireland here but the other week I was actually allowed order x2 and they arrived the next day. Now we have a V80 which is slightly different so maybe the V280 is experiencing delays here too. I'd phone up and order another today, say it's an unacceptable...

Water type streaks in printing jobs

Are both machines the same model? Surely if it happens on one machine and not the other that rules out the paper? Both machines in same room/environment? Does it matter if machine is cold/warm? i.e. if you run another job through the machine in case an condensation etc and then go straight to...

    Perfect binding short grain paper?

If you bind against the grain the book will suffer waves and the pages won't flow well. This video shows what I would call an extreme version.
