    Default CS4 Photoshop cropping?

I've never had a problem with this, but all of a sudden when I go to crop it gives me
a gray window and the image is gone?
I take it into CS3 and it works fine.
    Any ideas?

    thanks

I hope you don't mean the ''shield'' checkbox underneath the menu bar!

If this be the case ''uncheck'' the shield box-how can we write this in proper english?- and the image will return!

It could also be that you accidentally typed in a dimension in the crop tool bar and it's making the crop size small enough that it's cropping the entire image. The shield checkbox will make everything grey if this was the case.

This could be it,but you need to crop it first-i think that rande ''looses'' the image before he completes the crop action,at least that's what i understood!

Yep - check the width/height and make sure it's not pixels (i.e. 4x5 pixels - that would be very, very small).
