AGFA PAC plug and play driver
We have changed our server to Windows Server 2003 and unfortunately the PCI controller card is not being able to install the right drivers. If anyone could please assist me on how this can be detected / installed. Are there any available and updated drivers somewhere which I can download and install? Thanks very much.

I think that Apogee PDF RIP do not works with Windows Server 2003.
I have not yet seen any drivers update for APIS Card on Win Server 2003.

Hello,
You must generate your own PPD with AgfaSet.
You can install it with the CD of Apogee.
For more informations, refer to the PS Environment user guide.
It's very easy, good luck ;-)

Fatal error on Apogee PDF RIP
Hi everyone,
I have posted earlier about the APIS driver. This time, we managed to have it installed but I am still having problem loading the PDF RIP and is showing some fatal error. We have used Windows 2000 server, the APIS card is installed on the PCI slot, dongle in placed. Apogee PDF RIP V2 installed. We have done the update 6 as well. Have checked the APIS device on the device manager and verified that it is correctly installed/detected. Have I missed out anything here? Any suggestions are welcome and thanks in advanced. BTW, our imagesetter is Avantra OLP 44S.

You must verify that you have updated win 2000 with SP4.
You have to start your avantra before starting the Apogee RIP, if not, you will see the error message :"problems with the connected device...".

Forgot to say it. We have actually patched Win2000 with SP4 and yes, before we start-up the Apogee RIP server, we make sure that the imagesetter is already up and running. However, we are still not able to run it.
In addition, during the re-installation of Apogee PDF RIP V2, there was a prompt saying "Unable to start-up all services...". We are not sure what went wrong but the APIS driver is installed properly. The APIS card is fully working as we still use it on the old server. We are really baffled of the situation. Any suggestion is welcome and thanks in advanced.

Right click my computer and select manage. Got to the event log, system, and find the actual error listing the particular service that failed to load. That will be a clue.
