    Default Squeaky LP82

    Hello folks,
I got squeaky drive cogs in the finisher area... its making me nuts... can I use white lithium grease on them or would that cause problems?

Look at ball-bearings and black plastic CAM holders.
Corroded bearing causes balls to be stuck and outter bearing's ring starts to rotate, and friction of the ring upon the holder/nest causes that noise. You have to stop the machine and to replace squeaking bearings, otherwise you'll kill holders as well.
You are not alone in your suffering, every LP user went throug that issue.

Thanks Vlad, that's exactly what it is... bearings are toast and holders are cracked. Thanks for bringing it to my attention, I appreciate it. Time to drop the mouse and pickup a wrench!

    You are welcome...
Before to install new bearings - carefully (use a needle) remove one of plastic protectors for separator and add more (as much as possible) grease inside.
"Close" the bearings back and wipe off excessive grease.
Do not leave any chance for moisture to penetrate inside the bearings!
