Default How to simulate heavy dot gain on Inkjet prints

I had an issue with a file that ran in a magazine with heavy dot gain and it came out too dark, even when the file was adjusted with the right TAC.
I was wondering if it is possible to simulate heavy dot gain on an Epson 7800, using GMG?

You should be able to; we simulate the dot gain and the paper white on all our proofs (Epson 9800 and 9900). It works fairly well even when simulating for newsprint. You will need to run the GMG target on your press and then make a MX4 from that. If it's the paper white simulation your looking for you should be able to adjust that as well within the MX4.

Thank you Jason. I'll have the magazine run the GMG target on their press then read it and make a MX4.
