    Default X-Rite Digital Swatchbook

    Hi Sir,
    I have been using the X-Rite Digital Swatchbook to measure the CMYK density. How do I measure the spot/pantone colour? Thanks in advance.

    it is called as "The Digital Swatchbook Spectrophotometer". There is no model indication printed on the device. However, I attached its catalog for easy reference. TQ

    This is a very very old device ! What computer are you using this with (it has an RS 232 interface !) They shipped this 12 years ago, and the software that came with it for the Macintosh were running OS9 and Windows Windows 95/98/NT4 operating system.

    from the specifications your output choices are ;

    31-point spectral data
    colorimetric data
    density (Status T, I, A, and E)

    If you are asking "how would I determine what the closes Pantone color is if all I have is this device and I measure a color swatch"

    Well, the answer might be to somehow get the 31-point spectral data into LAB - then use

    Welcome to Bruce Lindbloom's Web Site

    - then use LAB to Pantone spreadsheet

    Hi Michaelejahn,
    I am using a Windows 98 OS and the printed sheet is measured by C,M,Y and V value. There is nothing like density (Status T, I, A, and E). Please adv further. TQ
