What exactly you mean by digital proofing? something like Fuji FinalProof or something like Epson 9910 driven by good color rip like gmg? There is a HUGE price difference between them but they are both "digital".

An extra screen attached to a press desk by which the printer manipulates proofs and compares them digitally against copy.

I'm wondering how many people other than the Newspaper market in the UK are interested in these systems rather than paper proofs.

For instance I know of at least 1 major UK newspaper which now uses a digital proof to compare with actual copy rather than paper proofs.

    Ahhh....you are referring to Monitor/Soft/Virtual proofing....yes?
Specifically, you are seeking info on press-side monitor proofing or monitor proofing in general..?

Systems like ICE Remote Director and Kodak Insite?

Yes, just wondering what peoples experiences are and how many have pure digital screen proofing
