    Default Proofsetter settings/maintenance

We have a 2004 Proofsetter CTP in our plant that is doing nothing more than giving problems. It will etch 2 or 3 plates and then fail on everything else. Of course this is costly as the plates are not cheap.

I cannot afford to constantly keep having the $200/hr technicians in to fix this machine, and buying a new machine is completely out of the question.

Anyone have similar problems or know how I could resolve some of my issues? At the present moment I keep getting an EH-PCI Cable hotlink fault error message.

Perhaps I can help. What type of machine is it? make? model?

This is a Squaresoft Proofsetter Spectrum, serial number PX119. That's all the info I can find on it. If there's a label indicating such on the machine, it is not within viewing range.
