    Default Prinergy/ Trendsetter ??

We have just purchased a used Trendsetter and a Prinergy 4 system, and am being told by Kodak that you can not re-sell Prinergy, therefore it is illegal.
Everything is hooked up & running but we need the code to set the laser.

Is anyone out there using a "used Prinergy system"?

    Thanks in advance,

I'd suspect you could get Kodak to 're-license' your copy.. It is an off-the-shelf software product you can buy (they'd rather wrap you up in a service agreement, and all that, but at the end of the day....).
See if you can find a third party willing to service the software/equipment. Perhaps they'll have a solution to your problem (that costs less than ponying up to Unkle Kodak).

    Default Prinergy/Trendsetter

For the price that Kodak would want to "re-license" your Prinergy you could likely do as well if not better with another RIP/Workflow solution.
Curious though... what happened to the license codes to the Prinergy system that you purchased second hand?
Give me a call - I have considerable experience with Trendsetters and RIP's and Workflow solutions. I'm not too far from San Diego either.

The codes for the Prinergy are fine in fact the system is working fine.......
We need to gain access to the Trendsetter via service mode & am being told Kodak changes them weekly.

I'm Curious hansman, what are you trying to do that you need access to service mode?

It sounds like this company was able to sell prinergy without any issues. But then after reading his experience you may not want to keep it.

    good luck.
