    Default Trendsetter laser beam width?

    Hello,
we get supplied with CTP plates from external studio, using Trendestter 800.
Out of the box plates look OK, but after we mount them on press (R700) and after first impression, we see ink toning on non-printing areas, we can even see stripes in width 15mm and 13mm, paralel with short plate edge, extending over whole plate width.
If we mount plates, copied from film, we do not see such a behaviour.

Might be wrongly set exposure on CTP?
What is laser swath width on Trendsetter?

    Thanks, Janez

According to my obsrvation abt y'r problem. It may be roller mark in CTP device.

I will suggest you before comming on final conclusion kindly rotate plate at 180 dgr.

Exposed from same platesetter & develop from same direction.

By this test you can may get two result.

1). May be band can appera OR

    2). May band won't.

If band has rotated way you rotating plate So, it is sure it is plate issue.

If band appear on same place it means Is is related with CtP device.

    Good luck

    Thanks,
it happened to be non sufficient wash of plate before printing. There must be strange corelation between cleaning solution used on press and gum arabic, that plate is covered with.

Roller marks are from rollers, that push plate to the plate cylinder.
