Default Kodak Trap Editor - NEED HELP!!!

    Hi Guys

I am relatively new to this so forgive me if this sounds simple.

I have been given an AI CS3 file which needs trapping. I always save out from AI as a hi-res pdf and the ordinarily i would trap with Kodak Trap Editor, but this time when i tried it came up with an error message:

"An unrecoverable error has occured. Details:
ICCBasedcolor spaces are not supported - file requires color matching"

Does anybody know how to solve this problem?

If this is any help i am running Prinergy Evo 4.0 and Acrobat is 8.0.

Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated

I think there are some objects with ICC information in them. Try to remove it first with PitStop and then try the Trap Editor.

Refine the page through Evo with Color matching turned on. That should convert the icc based color spaces to CMYK (+spots, if applicable) and then the file will work in the Trap Editor.
