Default D Max on Film from Epson 4880

    Hi

Does any one tried RIP software and took the Film output on Epson 4800 Printer. What was the outcome for the screen printing purpose and DMax value.

    Thanks

    BR

Dmax of 2 - 2.5 from a Epson 7800 on Chromaline inkjet "film" which worked for us. Tried other cheaper films with worse results. Using a EFI rip in single pass 1440 mode and dumping a lot of ink on it. Was expensive (ink and media) so we stayed with our imagesetter.

There are many film options available and many rip options. When using the 4800 or any Epson printer with K3 pigment inks, (be sure to use the Photo Black and not the matt black) you will get your best results from so called "Water-proof" films, such as Royal Windsor at stuff4print. For a very good modestly priced RIP I don't think you will go far wrong witht the AccuRIP - and you can try it free for 14 days!! (Google it). As for D-max - lets just say there are many thousands of screen printers who use this system every day for production, if the D-Max was not adequate do you think they would all still be making film this way? stuff4print is a new website, not fully ready yet, but we have some of the products you are looking for - why not drop by, and send us an email.
