Xante Fuser "Help Save Me Money"

Now is the time I need help researching supplies for my Illumina.
Found a few tricks about the toner . . . I replaced with Okidata 9600 series and
so far I am able to still run it. Now I am on to a fuser unit "says near life end".
I have had this printer for over 2 years and I am really needing to save money,
just like any other owner of this type machine. Has anyone used a different model
fuser or even drums for their machine? Wish me luck WPP.

afaik the toner/transfer belt/waste toner bottle are all the same for the Ilumina and the Oki C96xx & C98xx series. As for drums, the oki 96xx/98xx ones should work but require some tweaking to fit the toner cartridges into them (just filing off the little black notches that match the cartridge) But if you have been using Oki toner cartridges you may have already found those notches.

Also with the fuser, on older oki models you could reset the fuser/drum counters with a hidden menu but not sure about the ilumina. also I'm not sure if you can replace the fuse in the fuser/drums easily.
