You might want to try SluggerID from Gluon.
GLUON - Slugger ID

It has the ability to add font information but I don't know how many details of the font can be added.

Had a look at Slugger but not available for Illustrator although the web site inter-mates its in the pipe line so I emailed them asking for when but no straight answer was forth coming

There are few solutions for just getting the name of fonts, you can save a list of fonts out of Illustrator "Find fonts" panel but its the Foundry info that is the stumbling block.
