Default Help - Latran 2230 Finish sheets how-to

Looking for information regarding instructions to finish proofs made on the Latran Prediction 2230 using finish SHEETS as opposed to finish on a roll. My documentation doesn't include this info.

I didn't even know there was a way to apply the finish from a sheet.

When our Latran finisher had problems. We tried taking the material from the roll, cutting it into sheets and running it through our Matchprint system (10 plus years ago). It didn't work because the Matchprint system didn't get hot enough. The material from Latran needs to be applied with at least 185 degrees Celsius.

If you need a Latran Finisher, we have 2 of them.

Default Help - Latran 2230 Finish sheets how-to

    thanks much for your reply.

Here's the response I received from Frank Forti (formerly Service Mgr at Latran):

You can either image directly on it (emulsion side up on drum and image
flipped) or image on paper and place laminate sheet on top of paper
(emulsion down) and feed into laminator. If you image on it you typically
use lower powers. ( focus should be similar to 1003 paper). The laminator
needs a roll in machine to run, but can be a used roll as finish comes from
laminate sheet. Then, after passing through the laminator you will peel off the backing
    sheet.
