    Default Ink/Water Balance

im trying to understand why the pressmen use to much water on the impression, it seems like a big problem because impressions came out opaque, can someone please help me understand the ink/water balance needed for a good impression.

Sounds like you have a chemisrty problem, maybe not a match between the ink you are using, or the ph is wrong, hats a whole differnet roller pressures, are you using UV? thats a whole differnet ball game

No im not using UV, this is what im using in terms of ink and fountain solution.
    - Resista inks
    - All star fountain solution without alcohol 3%
    - 1600u
    - 4.2PH
    - 16 C degrees

You say you are to wet, using alcohol reduces the surface friction, you should be able to cut the water way back, also is the fountain solution your using recomended for that ink , I like to match chemisrty to ink. I would really have to see what substrate you are printing on and several other factors, including roller pressues

    Alex,

Just to clarify your question. What do you mean by "opaque"? Something that is opaque normally means that light can not go through it. Opaque is the opposite of transparent.
