mac configurations opinions?

The apple guy also said that he can't really compete with the third party retailers but
if something goes wrong he would replace it. Is there any advantage to buying from an Apple
Store vs a third party, online, store? I'm going to start browsing and see what I can find but does anyone have a recommendation on who else to buy from?

If the computer is brand new its covered under warranty. So if you were to buy a macbook pro at bestbuy, have a fried logic board 2 months later, you can bring it into any Apple store or Apple authorized dealer for warranty work. Its actually pretty nice, especially if you move, your not stuck with the store of purchase.
