Variable Maps?

Please if some body are creating variable map to print VDP, share the info. How to do that?

capture the web feed from mapquest (i think you can somehow do it for microsoft/ virtual earth or google maps)
save it as a graphic file .
save the files needed for your vdp job

this is all programming in asp.net
you need access and knowledge to maps API (mapquest/ MS / google) and have to take into account the time need it to generate/save the maps.

if you search the programming forums and the forums for the API used you will find a lot of knowledge.

subject is REALLY REALLY big!

How many custom maps per day will you need to create and at what resolution? Most online systems limit you to 300-500 maps and 79dpi, so you need to pay close attention to the technology. In addition, some services include advertising embedded on the map itself that some clients will not want.
