    Default XMpie Ustore Replacement?

Has anyone here found a suitable front end to replace ustore that actually HAS built in xmpie integration? (proofing/workflow/etc)

We're mostly interested in the web to print side, but I want to make sure that the product offering is a FULL shopping solution as well. (ie: it needs to have robust NON-variable capacities like inventory management and fulfillment built in)

I'm working through things with a few different technology vendors that SAY they have it, but I think I may end up having to custom develop. We're just hitting too many roadblocks with ustore and I can't seem to find anyone who's actually done it to the level that I'm looking for. (we've got server editions of all the xmpie stuff, if that helps)

Any help would be highly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Kyle

I don't think you will find another Server software which will replace UStore. What you will find though is Companies which have a punch out allowing the XMPie to be added to their system.

We currently use Pro-Mail Order Fulfillment Software, Direct Mail Software, Direct Marketing Software - SMA-Promail, for our fulfillment and inventory management. They have a punch out to XMPie, which allows you to add XMPie Offers to the Pro-Mail shopping car. Then when a user clicks on the Offer, they are brought to an XMPie screen to enter the information for the XMPie product, which they will customize, then add to the Pro-Mail shopping cart.

I do know EFI has Digital StoreFront EFI Digital StoreFront which has XMPie integration but I don't know how deep it is. I believe it can even be integrated with EFI's Print Management systems too.

I/we have looked at both of those solutions & they're not a great fit.

What little I'm seeing seems to be stuff that's mostly some kind of bootstrapped functionality using the apis. Which is fine IF the shopping cart solution was a GREAT one to start with. Had good inventory/warehouse management, good customization options for layout, good public/business facing shopping UI.

Unfortunately, most of the people who are offering hooks into xmpie are people who do NOT have what I'd consider best of breed cart solutions. (compared to a straight "sell products on the internet" offering ) At least in my opinion. They just don't typically meet the needs of my customers on the basic shopping/management experience.

This leaves me with just a different version of software that doesn't do everything I need it to do.

I was just kind of hoping that someone would say "I use THIS" and it would be amazing. Still hoping...

We have a customized workflow using Tecra System's front-end XMPie product called Accuconnect. :: Tecra Systems, Inc - Home ::

We did not customize the front-end of Accuconnect much for the users, but have worked with Tecra for customizing the backend workflow for production and billing.

    Default XMPie Ustore Product Alternative

    Hi Kyle,

Following up on Mark's comment my name is Rod Lowe and my company Tecra developed AccuConnect as an alternative to uStore. We were the first software developers to use the XMPie API's and currently have forty developers who are skilled in XMPie implementation and development. We currently have over sixty installations of our AccuConnect product and customers include Pitney Bowes, Harlan Clarke, Allegra Networks, and Budco... We can set up a time next to week to demo the product and discuss your unique needs and requirements. I can be reached either at rod.lowe@tecra.com or 734.276.1165... anyone else that needs assistance with XMPie please feel free to contact me as well.

    Exclamation uStore 3.6 and up

    Hi Kyle,
My name is Igor Vorobeychik, I'm Senior Solution Specialist , my responsibility is to help customers like you to get best out of our software. I also responsible for API trainings both for uProduce and uStore. I also work/ consult with integrators to help them build their solutions.

There are several products like uStore that may fit in some workflows, but prior to checking alternatives I'd check uStore 3.6 and up capabilities. I have also customer that switching back to uStore now from other vendors due to their limitations.

I believe that uStore 3.6 and up is a very strong product , it introduce uStore Connect with set of API's (exposed via webservices and DLL)provides a way to interact with the uStore application. As well uStore uses a plugin mechanism that enables customers to extend its functionality throughout the system.

There is a very long list and I'll be glad to hear from you , plus can you please describe what roadblocks we are talking about.
Please feel free to contact me at 917-265-3941 ,
    Igor.

Default Tecra 's Accuconnect Product or Platform

I know this system very well and it is copied from XMPie uStore code and made of full bugs and it is more complicate to understand and every time they try to fix something and gets other side effects. I don't recommend this product to any one. I heard that some of their employees work closely with XMPie and they copied the code from uStore. You can easily find many features are closely copied from uStore. The CEO of this company Giri Gondi speak geek about this product while selling...but coming to reality sks. I will not recommend this unethical people, even they don't have knowledge of what they have in their product. So I advice beware of these people.

    Hi

I am Roland Knight with Centrica Digital (centrica digital cross-media: direct marketing campaigns, cross-media marketing, relevant personalisation) in Sydney Australia. We use XMPIE & Igen and are currently evaluating USTORE. We are trying to find a a basic demonstration that we can take to our customers that allows us reskin the store front and to place some simple templates, content and copy so the client can see how the system would work. So far we have been unable to find anything other that having to spend considerable programming time to get to this relativly basic stage. Am i missing something??! Help!
