in your driver setting under media settings (from pdf doc1 2) set the mode to custom and then to no color adjustment. In the photoshop print dialog set color handling to photoshop manages color and select a profile like pro9800 7800 canvas_pk or Pro9800 7800 EMP_PK with rendering intent to relative colorimetric. These are default epson profiles but they may be generic enough to work.

Am asking this for a friend who has a 7600 or 7880, not sure which one. He says it won't print digital B&W negs so he can do platinum/palladium printing. He is not really computer savvy and has asked me about it.(blind leading the blind here)

So, anyone with one of these 7800 series know if they can be used with the clear film to successfully make enlarged negatives good for printing pt/pd and other Alt-process negatives? I am asking as he doesn't have internet access, only uses the computer for his photos.

Yes but which brand/supplier? We use Artbloc and they have done custom profiles for all our machines 7600/9600 and 7800/9800.

Adan, you need to know which machine as the profiles won't work with the wrong machine.

    Default hi

The Epson Stylus Pro 7800 is a wide format ink-jet printer. The printhead contains the nozzles that spray ink onto the page. If any of the nozzles are clogged or damaged, you will notice horizontal streaks or voids in your prints. The printer runs cleaning cycles periodically to maintain optimal quality, but you can run manual cleaning cycles if you want to fix a print quality problem. Cleaning the printhead tends to use up your ink, so be judicious and avoids cleaning the printhead unnecessarily.
